Sully and Malley's finger painting extravaganza!

Hey everyone! We have been enjoying the cooler temps down here and the chance to be back outside! With the weather so hot in August, we weren't able to play outside much, so it is nice to be back outside at the park and playing in the yard! Sully and Malley took advantage of a beautiful afternoon last week with some finger paints! It was so fun and they painted both on the paper and on each other---they had a blast! Enjoy the pictures!
They were both SO proud of their masterpiece! Sully painting Malley...
and Malley painting Sully!
Sully as a work of art! :)

Say "Cheese!"

Sully loves to play with Malley's pretend snake. Funny thing about it--he was terrified of it for the longest time and would actually shiver when you would get it close to him. Malley used to chase him with it to try and scare him--guess he has decided that it isn't so scary anymore! I just hope he doesn't ever pick up a real snake and chase me with it one day! haha :)

Sully is doing so well! He is talking so much and learning new words all the time. He is starting to count to ten and has pretty much mastered his basic colors. We work on them all the time! He absolutely loves school and knows where he is going when we turn down the street of his school. He is always happy to go and always so happy to see me when I pick him up, so it is such a great thing! They do a lot of storytime, crafts, painting, and music. His teacher said that he is a very sweet boy and is always happy doing whatever it is they are doing, so she says he is a very well adjusted kid. Yeah for that! Lately, we have been busy going to the park, the library for storytime, and, of course playing outside with his toys and the dogs--Sully loves to play outside. Tomorrow we are going to Zoo Atlanta with his buddies, so I am sure we will have more fun pictures to share!

Have a great week!

Sully Update!

Hello from Hot Lanta! We have been pretty busy lately and Sully has been on many fun adventures over the past month. Sorry for the long break between blog entries. Sully is very proud to be a 2 year old--he loves to tell everyone that he is 2! He is talking a lot more now and learning new words everyday--he knows what he wants and does not hold back telling us what that is! hahaha! He started a little preschool class two mornings a week--Sully LOVES it and his teacher says that he is a very good boy! I have taken a few pictures of Sully over the past month--enjoy!

Sully at Fernbank Museum in Atlanta...
I took Sully downtown to see a snakes and lizards exhibit at the museum--he saw a ton of snakes and lizards, but the highlight was when Sully touched a red milk snake--Sully talked about that for days--he LOVED it, even though he shivered for a second after he touched the snake! So funny!
Big Lizard! When you walk in the museum, there is a huge life-sized T-Rex in the lobby--Sully didn't even really know what he was looking at because it was SO big!
For playgroup one day we all went back to the Children's Museum downtown--it is funny how Sully changes each time we go--we have been three times now--he was interested in totally different things this time and was able to do a lot more and interact a lot more with some of the activities--but his favorite was still the painting station--check out his masterpiece! :)
Sully's finished masterpiece!

Spaghetti Night!
It was straight to the tub!

Sully loves riding his tricycle! Grancie and Gramps bought him a helmet and pad set to go with his new bike they bought him for his birthday--he insists on wearing all the gear--it is hilarious! He loves the gear because it has all the Sesame Street characters!
Beep, Beep! Here comes Sully!
Sully loves to visit the firestation! He has gone a few times now and he just thinks the firetrucks are the coolest things! On this day, he was able to see a fireman all dressed up in his gear--a lot of other kids were scared of him, but Sully thought it was cool and went right up the fireman and said, "Hi!"
Future Firefighter?
Last Wednesday was Sully's first day of school! Sully was so excited and had a great first week. He goes to school Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30-1:00! I have to pack him a lunch and Sully proudly walks into school holding his lunchbox! So cute! His school prefers tote bags instead of backpacks, so he still struggles keeping his bag on his shoulder with all of his things inside! He will surely grow into the bag by the end of the year!
Ready to go!

This past weekend, Brett and I took a little getaway to NYC to see a few days of the US Open tennis tournament and to visit with Kelli and Doug! Sully had a great time with Grancie and Gramps, and Brett and I enjoyed 4 days Sully-free catching up with friends and enjoying some great tennis! One night we got a great view of the city from the Open--enjoy the picture!
What a perfect sunset!
BABY P Update!
For those of you who haven't already heard, Sully is going to have a little sister to romp around with in January! We went for our ultrasound a few weeks ago and decided at the last minute to find out the sex of the baby--Baby P is a girl! What a great, little family we will have! January 5th is still the due date, so we are getting more and more excited as the weeks pass! Only a few more months left to go!
Hope you enjoyed all the pictures--we will try to update more often! Have a great week!
