Pray for Ava

About 6 weeks ago, Ava Sentell and her family's life was forever changed. Ava was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Her doctors still do not know the type of cancer, but are treating it very aggressively. Ava is one of Sully's best friends and Christina, her Mom, and I have become very close over the past 2 years. Their family is very special to us, so please make sure to add Ava and her family to your prayer lists. She is responding to the chemo treatments well and has shown signs of shrinking tumors! She is the bravest 4 year old you will ever meet and has been absolutely amazing these past 6 weeks. She is in a battle over the next 9 months with chemo treatments, so please pray for her every day. The power of prayer and the outpouring of love and support for Ava and her family has been amazing.

Ava's best days in the hospital are when her friends are able to come and visit. Here are some pictures from our recent visit to see sweet Ava.

Firsts for Sully!

August was a big month for Sully! He turned 5, he started GA Pre-K, and he learned how to ride a 2 wheel bike!!! He was equally excited about all three events!!!!! Here are some pictures of his first time riding a 2 wheeler and his first day of school. Way to go, Sully!!! xxoo

Daddy and Mr. John taught Sully how to ride...Sully was so excited because Matt, his best buddy 2 houses down, could already ride his bike, so now they can ride together! SO FUN!!!
YEAH!!! GO SULLY!!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!
He was off on the first try...no falling, no tears...he was amazing!!! We think maybe him riding his Razor scooter so well taught him some balance to make learning to ride much easier...who knows...we are just so excited for him!! He was so happy!!! :)
Yeah!! He can ride with the Kloeckers!!!

First Day of School!!!
HE was very excited!

Pwetty got Sully the backpack he had been wanting all summer!! He was SO excited to wear it on the first day!!! :)

I know...I am a dorky Mom who took pictures...hey, in a few years I will have to pick him up a mile from school because he will be so embarrassed to be in my presence! haha!!! I was so proud of him... :)
Bye, Sully!!! He sat right down and starting working on his activity sheet...so sweet! Ansley and I miss him!

Happy Birthday Sully!!!

On August 4th, Sully turned 5!! To me, 5 is old...so it was a little sad for me to realize that he is growing up so fast, but for Sully, it was AWESOME! He tells everyone he is 5....the lady at Publix, people at Starbucks (yes, we are in there a lot--thanks a lot, Trisha), all his friends, etc. Turning 5 was a BIG dealto Sully! This year he had a list of what toys he wanted...he wanted some super hero action figures and LEGOS...he has really been into building with legos...so, to go along with the theme that he is now a big boy, we got him some official LEGOS (the small kind for big boys--as he calls them---and--"Mommy, I won't let Ansley eat them and choke"--thanks, Sully! haha!) We had early morning presents with Mommy, Daddy, and Ansley, then we met all of his friends at the pool for a fun morning and lunch, then after some down time playing with his new toys, we met Daddy, Pwetty, Pip, and Zizzie for dinner at one of Sully's favorite places, BB's (a burger place), for dinner and more presents! It was a great day! Here are some pictures from all of his big boy, I'm 5 now, birthday. :)

Ansley had just as much fun as Sully! :)

Happy Birthday to you...
Happy Birthday, sweet Sully...Happy Birthday to you...
Yeah! He got all 5! :)

Can't believe it has been 5 years. I love you, Sully! xxoo

Trip to Chattanooga!

I had a triathlon in Chattanooga in July, so Brett and the kids tagged along and we made a weekend adventure out of it! The kids had a blast staying in a hotel (very big deal to them), and we did the zoo, aquarium, etc. It was a great weekend! I had a great race getting 4th OA for the amateur women and 1st in my age group, which qualified me for the AG National Championships at the end of September! So, it was a successful weekend! Here are some pictures from our fun trip!

Brett brought the kids down to the event and they waited a long time for me to pass by...they found some fun things to keep them occupied while they waited...
Great picture of sweet Ansley...
Is Mommy out there?
found some water to splash around in
Mommy finally ran by!

Then it was off to the zoo while Mommy visited with friends after the race and went to the hotel to shower!
Thekids finally made it to the zoo!

One of our favorite parts of the trip was our fun walk across the river on the pedestrian bridge. There is a fabulous park to run around on the other side and, of course, we had to stop for ice cream!

They loved the bridge!

Looking down at the park

Daddy and the kids checking things out at the park.
The kids couldn't sit still for long...
Ansley loves to ride on Daddy's shoulders!

Chattanooga Aquarium
Hey Sully!!

touching sharks!
Ansley was telling us something...this picture cracks me up! :)

Mommy and Sully xxoo

not a real snake...
I know...it is totally gross that I am taking a picture of her with her mouth on a public mirror instead of telling her to stop...but, it was cute...I did tell her to get her mouth off after snapping the picture. :)

Enjoy the pictures!! If you ever have the chance to go to Chattanooga in the summer, you should...it is fun city and the Chattanooga Riverfront Tri is awesome too!
