April's Adventures!

Hey all!  We have had many fun adventures in April!  The weather is turning warm---this weekend was down right hot--and we have been taking advantage of Spring by spending our time outside!  Yeah!  For Easter we went to KY to see Kathy, Carl, and Great Grandma Helen Louise.  We had a great time hanging out and playing.  Since Easter, we have spent our days at the park getting all dirty in the sandbox and riding our bikes out in the street with our friends.  We have some fun neighbors with lots of kids, so it is fun to go outside and have an instant party out in the street!  This past weekend Auntie Kelli came into town from NYC and we had a fabulous time!  We went strawberry picking and we took Sully to see a movie at the theater!  It was a blast and we were so sad to see Kelli go back home.

Ansley is now 16 months and she is a walking machine!  She toddles around everywhere and is really enjoying her new freedom to explore and get into mischief.  She loves going to the park so she can get completely dirty in the sandbox and LOVES going down the slides.  It is fun to see her toddle around and play on her own.  Not too much new is going on with Sully---he still LOVES animals and is going through a Noah's Ark stage...he loves lining up his animals like they are going into Noah's Ark and then putting them all under his bed or the couch (the Ark) and then bringing them back out in the sunshine.  So funny!  He also likes to take his animals outside to put them in the bushes and plants to play "Jungle."  He is getting really good at riding his bike and most afternoons wants to ride out with Matthew--his new buddy 2 houses down the street.  He is taking swim lessons and just after one session has already graduated to the next level!  He is swimming on his own on his front and back!  Yeah--all that hard work with Mommy is paying off!  He is going to have a blast this summer!  He is growing up so fast and every day amazes me with what he is learning and remembering from school and from his books.

Here are some pictures from the past few weeks...enjoy!

Strawberry pickin'
Kelli and I took Sully and Ansley to Washington Farms in Loganville, GA for an afternoon picnic and strawberry pickin' adventure.  It was a beautiful place and Sully probably ate about 40 strawberries while pickin'!  Ansley was more into squishing them in between her fingers...we had a fabulous time and have been eating strawberries at every meal!  :)
Ready to go pickin'!

Love the glasses!

Sully picked all the juicy strawberries!

SOOO Strong!  :)

Ansley was a great picker!

My sweet "Eleigh"LOVE these pictures!Done picking and enjoying some more strawberries---I think Sully ate about 35-40 that afternoon!

Sully at the movies!
On Saturday night, Kelli and I took Sully to the movies and we saw Disney's "Earth."  Sully has been to the IMAX once, but this was really his first real movie besides some kids showings during the summer.  We got some popcorn and Sour Patch Kids and made a night out of it...we had a blast!  Between all the strawberries, popcorn, and candy, I can't believe he didn't get sick! :)  :)  It was super fun and the movie was awesome--of course, Sully knew the names of almost all the animals already!  :)
Mouthful of popcorn!

Enjoy the pictures!

Spring Break!

For most people, Spring Break is an event that warrants countdowns and celebrations...well, we celebrate just about every day around here, but Spring Break is definitely not a time that we countdown for because both Sully and I miss him going to school and many of our favorite hang outs are closed!  And...this Spring Break brought lows in the 20s, flurries, and highs barely hitting 40 with 20mph winds...so, today was definitely a celebrated day with lots of sun and warm weather!

We started the week out with a fun picnic with all of our friends down at our neighborhood park...Brett worked the grill and we had a fun egg hunt for the kids.  The day was beautiful and the weather was so warm!  We took full advantage before the cold set in!!!  Here are some pics of the kids before we let them loose to hunt all the eggs!

After a few days of rain, flurries, and freezing temps, we were finally able to get back outside and so we took advantage yesterday with Grancie.
Ansley LOVES the swing!
She loves the slide, too!

Today was a perfect day and we took advantage and went to Cagle's Dairy Farm with Zizzie and Sully and Ansley's buddies.  We had a fabulous time and were so glad Zizzie could come have fun Sully and Ansley style!  :)  Here are some pictures from our fun day.
Feeding the cows!
Zizzie helped Ansley feed the cows!
Sully and his ladies!
Zizzie and the kids...it has become almost impossible to get them to both look and smile...this picture cracks me up...one is looking down and the other is looking up...nice pic of Zizzie, though!  :)
Sully and his buddies...no way were we getting Ansley and her buddies to sit still for a picture!
I love this picture...Ansley's expression is hilarious!
She has her naughty look on!  :)

We are going to KY this weekend to visit with Kathy and Carl which will end our week of adventures for Spring Break and then back to our normal routine---besides the cold...we had a great Spring Break!  Hope you have a great Easter!

Ansley is walking!

The days just fly by because we always have so many fun things to do!  Not too much is new...Sully started some swim lessons last week to get him ready for his summer at the pool...he LOVES it and is picking right back up where he left off last summer...I am confident that I will be able to work on him swimming across the pool this summer--after this session of lessons he will start Mommy boot camp! hahaha!  Glad he loves the water SO much!  Ansley and I started music class on Wednesdays a few weeks ago...she absolutely loves it and I look forward to some special time with my little Ansley while Sully is at school.  Her class goes till the middle of May, so we always look forward to Wednesdays!  Ansley is also starting to really pick up new words.  We teach her sign language and watch the "Signing Time" videos that Sully watched at her age, but she sometimes prefers to just say the words!  She will do the sign, but will also say the word (or at least close to it)  It is crazy how many words she is picking up and how much she really tries to say the words...it is so cute to hear her say little words like cat, dog, book, cup, etc.  She is growing SO fast!

More big news with Ansley...

We have finally hit the jackpot---Ansley is walking!  I was so excited for her to start walking so we could really start enjoying the park...she now can toddle around at the park and not get so dirty and I don't have to worry as much about what she is crawling on!  She was a bit late with her walking, but Ansley likes to do things in her own time, and so she has now decided it is quite fun to walk.  Here are some cute pictures of her first days walking...
Hey guys, look at me!  She is so proud of herself!
 Go Ansley!
Concentrating very hard!
We are SO proud of our sweet Ansley Leigh and Sully is excited to see her walk...he loves to encourage her...and knock her down...  :)  :)

Last week we took another trip down to the Georgia Aquarium...always a fun day for the kids...Ansley LOVES it and LOVES crawling up to the glass...I gave up on worrying about all the germs on the floor and just let her crawl around...she appreciated me chilling out and letting her roam!  :)  Sully, of course, loved every minute!  There was supposed to be a brand new octopus at the aquarium since we had been there last so we went on an octopus hunt and finally at the very end of the day found it in a corner of a tank!  It was so fun watching Sully all day look around to find it...we were SO exicted to finally find it!!!  Here are some fun pictures from the day.
My sweet angels  Can you tell from these pictures which one of my angels is the naughty one?  :)  :)
 Look what I found, Sully!
Wonder what they were thinking?

We have had a TON of rain this past month, which has kept us from playing outside as much as we would like to...so, when it is nice we are always outside soaking it in...Sully's favorite thing to do these days is ride his bike with Matthew down the street...they are only 2 weeks apart...how lucky were we to move in 2 houses down from a buddy for Sully!!!  Here is Sully on his bike...can you tell he hates getting his picture taken?  :)  :)
Mom!  Just let me ride!

We took advantage of another rain-free day and met Brett at the park by his office for lunch...we got our Daddy fix and Brett got away from the office for awhile to play!  Yeah!  Ansley was enjoying hanging from the bars...these pictures are hilarious!  :)
So excited and proud of herself!
This is Ansley's "Don't mess with me!"  look!  :)
 A rare Sully smile  :)
Love Ansley's look in this picture...like she is thinking she has better things to do!  hahaha

Enjoy the pictures!
