Sully hanging with his buddies!

Hello everyone! We hope you are surviving the heat! It has been so hot down here, and I hear it is the same story just about everywhere! We take the dogs for a nice, long walk in the early morning, and then the rest of the day, we hang out indoors. It almost is like the dead of winter, because nobody is outside! Too hot!

Last week, Sully did find a fun way to stay cool. We hung out at Malley's house because she has a fun blow-up pool! Sully and his buddies splashed around in the cool water to try and stay cool. It was a fun afternoon.

So fun!

Every Friday, Sully and I hang out with our friends at playgroup. This week, playgroup was at Brayden's house. He had a fun firetruck that Sully and Brayden thought was pretty cool. Brayden sat on the truck and Sully walked behind. Sully was very proud of himself! Any day, Sully is going to be walking on his own! Watch out!

Mommy had to give Sully a head start, and then he was off on his own! How fun!

All over the house, we have special places for Sully to play with his toys. In our living room, we have a desk and the bottom drawers are approved places for Sully to explore. We have all kinds of "toys" in there that are appropriate for Sully to play with. Everything from a pair of goggles, empty film containers, remote controls, etc. Sully loves his special drawers!

Ooo, what can I get myself into in here...

Sully's special girlfriend came over to play the other day, so I snapped a few shots of the two of them. They both play so sweetly, but not really together yet. Sully is too busy for Malley at times, and I don't think they understand how to really play with each other yet. They do "talk" to each other and that is really sweet to hear.

Sully and Malley both thought the blocks were a tasty treat!

Sullivan's busy week!

Hello everyone! Sullivan had a very busy week! He was feeling better from being sick last weekend, and has become quite busy! He crawls so fast and is EVERYWHERE! He loves to leave big messes for Mommy to clean up! His favorite game to play this week is with his bedroom door. I get on one side and Sully is on the other--he opens and closes the door and thinks it is loads of fun! Everytime he opens the door, I say, "Boo!" and he just howls! It is a fun game that he likes to play over and over again!

It was so hot here this week, so we tried to be inside as much as possible. We took a trip to the mall where there is a carousel. It was Sullivan's first ride and he had a fabulous time!

He knew just how to hold on.

Every time the carousel went up or down, Sully had a huge smile on his face!

The other night, I let Sully explore/eat his food on his own. It made for a lot of clean up and a trip straight to the tub, but Sully had a really fun time, and I enjoyed watching him. It was worth all the clean-up!

This weekend is Brett's birthday and our anniversary, so we are spending a night downtown. On Saturday I have a tennis match and then we are going to rollerblade around a park downtown, eat at a fun restaurant and stay downtown so we can go to a cool exhibit on Sunday. Granice and Gramps will be keeping Sully under control while we are gone. Brett and I are looking forward to a fun weekend. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend as well!

Sullivan's new favorite activity!

Hello everyone! Sullivan's new favorite activity is to play in the tupperware cabinet. We have put locks on all the cabinets except one, so this is where Sullivan can play in the kitchen. He likes it right after I unload the dishwasher because there are lots of fun containers to play with and pull out. Sometimes, Sully likes to pretend that the cabinet is his fort! He is so funny!

The cabinet is Sullivan's new favorite activity, but his favorite toy this week has been his green ball. We picked this up at the grocery store for a dollar---who knew it would make for so many afternoons of fun!

Sullivan was a little under the weather today, so we had a nice, slow day inside taking care of Sullivan. He had a fever and we took a trip to the doctor, but I think he will be back to his old self tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We will update again soon!

Sully turns 11 months!

Happy 4th of July! We had a great weekend! We relaxed a lot and had some fun afternoons playing with Sullivan! Today is Sullivan's 11th month birthday, so he wanted to share some pictures of him in his new favorite outfit. Davis bought him this outfit before we even knew if we were having a boy or a girl. I guess Davis was hoping for a boy! We thought the outfit was so big last summer at our baby shower, and now it fits! Oh, how time flies! Just in the past few days, Sullivan has mastered the art of pulling up on just about anything. Now, when we go and get him in the mornings and after his naps, he is standing in his crib greeting us with a smile. Any day, he is going to take that first step! Enjoy the pictures!

Sullivan's Fort!

Today, we took a big box from the garage and put it in Sullivan's playroom upstairs. We cut out a door and a window, and Sullivan thought it was SO fun! We played "fort" for quite a long time this afternoon. It was so fun to see Sully crawl in and out of his fort and to play "peek-a-boo" outside his window. Here are some fun pictures to enjoy! Who knew a simple box would be the cause of so much Sully fun!

Grancie and Gramps are out of town for the week, so we are watching Patches. He was pretty depressed until he realized that Sullivan was an easy target for treats! I don't think Patches is minding his vacation spot for the week, and Sullivan thinks it is a fun game!

Sure, Sully! I would love a treat!

Sullivan is finally crawling on his hands and knees! He still, once and awhile, will go back to his belly crawling, but for the most part, he crawls on his hands and knees. He gets a lot less rug burn now, and is a lot faster! We baby proofed the cabinets and plugs today. Sully has become quite curious since he started to crawl!
